Ingredients

  • 12 to 15 green tomatoes
  • 3 medium onions
  • 10 to 12 okra
  • 6 to 7 squash
  • 2 heads cabbage
  • 7 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. turmeric
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 2 tsp. celery seed
  • 5 c. sugar

Directions

    Cut up green tomatoes, onions, okra, squash and cabbage.

    Add salt and let sit about 4 hours.

    Bring vinegar, turmeric, mustard seed, celery seed and sugar to a boil.

    Add to vegetables and bring to boil again.

    Put in jars and seal.

    Put in hot water bath only until color changes (not too long).
