  • 6 qt. green tomatoes (after chopped)
  • 2 qt. onions (after chopped)
  • 2 qt. sweet peppers (after chopped; can make it 1 qt. red pepper and 1 qt. sweet pepper)
  • 1 qt. cabbage (after chopped)
  • salt
  • 8 c. white sugar
  • 10 c. vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 Tbsp. turmeric
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed

    Sprinkle a handful of salt over tomatoes, onions, peppers and cabbage and let it set overnight.
