Ingredients
- 1 gal. cabbage
- 1 gal. green tomatoes
- 1 doz. onions
- 1/2 doz. sweet bell peppers
- 1/2 doz. bell peppers (red)
- 1 gal. vinegar
- 2 lb. sugar
- 1/2 c. ground mustard
- 6 Tbsp. white mustard seed
- 3 Tbsp. celery seed
- 1 Tbsp. cloves, tied in bag
Directions

1Chop vegetables; mix well.

2Put a layer of vegetables in an enameled pan or stone jar and sprinkle with salt.

3Repeat until all vegetables are used.

4Cover the last layer with salt.

5Let stand overnight.

6Drain well.

7In separate vessel, put vinegar, sugar, ground mustard, mustard seed, celery seed and cloves.

8Heat to boiling; add the well drained vegetables and cook slowly until tender (about 30 minutes).

9Pack in jars.

10Process in boiling water bath canner for 10 minutes.
