Ingredients

  • 8 qt. ground green tomatoes
  • 1 qt. onions
  • 1 1/2 pt. sugar
  • allspice to taste (I use 1 1/4 tsp.)
  • 2 small cabbages
  • 6 green peppers
  • 1 tsp. powdered mustard
  • 1 pt. vinegar

Directions

    Grind tomatoes.

    Put 1 cup of salt over them and let stand 2 hours.

    Squeeze out and mix with other ingredients which have also been ground up.

    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

    Put in jars and seal.
