- 2 Tbsp. Crisco
- 1 1/2 lb. cubed chicken or pork
- 2 c. onions, diced
- 2 c. celery, diced
- 1 large can La Choy bean sprouts
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/3 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. La Choy soy sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
Directions

1Cook meat 10 minutes in Crisco. Add onions. Cook 10 more minutes. Add celery and cook 10 more minutes. Add 1 1/2 cups water. Simmer until celery is tender.

2Drain bean sprouts and add to vegetables and bring to a boil.

3Combine the 1/3 cup water, cornstarch, soy sauce and sugar.

4Add cornstarch mixture and cook until clear.

5Cook 1 cup rice.

6Serve with rice and chow mein noodles.
