  • 3 1/4 c. white sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Boil to 300° on candy thermometer over medium heat; remove from heat.

    Add 1 teaspoon any flavoring oil to this.

    For example: cinnamon, anise; add a few drops any food coloring (coordinate flavoring and color).

    Have cookie sheet ready, sprinkled with powdered sugar.

    Pour mixture on sheet.

    Let it get hard, then break into pieces.
