- 1/2 lb. dried prunes, dried
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. sherry, brandy or Port
- almonds
- bacon
Directions

1Cover with cold water.

2Bring to boiling point and simmer about 20 minutes until tender.

3Add sugar; cook 5 minutes more. Add 1/2 cup or more sherry, brandy or Port.

4Place in a Mason jar. Chill until needed.

5Almonds, blanched to stuff prunes before serving and secure with toothpick (wooden and wet).

6Broil until bacon is crisp and serve.
