- 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. water
- 2/3 c. margarine
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 c. blanched almonds
- 3/4 c. mixed candied fruits
- 1/3 c. golden raisins
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1In a large bowl, mix 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Combine milk, water and margarine in a saucepan.

2Heat over low heat until warm (margarine doesn't need to melt).

3Gradually add liquids to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed and 2 minutes on high speed.

4Stir in enough additional flour to make a soft dough. Turn onto lightly floured board; knead until smooth and elastic, 8 to 10 minutes.

5Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top.

6Cover and let rise in a warm place, free from drafts, until double in bulk, about 1 1/2 hours.
