  • 12 green tomatoes, peeled
  • 6 sweet red peppers, chopped
  • 1 hot red pepper, chopped
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 pint vinegar
  • 2 c. white or brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. pickling spice
  • 1 Tbsp. ginger root
  • 6 sour apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 lb. raisins

    Mix veggies with salt and let stand overnight.
