- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 lb. beef stew meat, cut into pieces
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 c. apple cider
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 2 large carrots, cut into pieces
- 1 large potato, peeled and cut up
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 celery rib, cut into pieces
Directions

1In bowl, combine flour, salt and pepper; add beef and toss to coat.

2In large pan, brown beef in oil.

3Add cider, water, vinegar and thyme; bring to a boil.

4Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until meat is tender.

5Add carrots, celery, potato and onion; return to a boil.

6Reduce heat; cover and simmer 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
