- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. corn oil
- 2 tsp. grated orange peel
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. orange juice
- 4 egg whites
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease and flour bottom of 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan.

3In large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

4Add oil and orange juice.

5Beat on medium speed until smooth.

6Add peel.
-
7In small bowl beat egg whites on high speed until stiff peaks form.

8Fold egg whites into flour mixture.

9Turn into pan.

10Bake 50 minutes or until cake springs back when slightly touched.

11Cool 10 minutes in pan.

12Remove and cool completely on rack.

13One loaf contains about 160 calories per 1/2-inch slice.
