- 2 lb. beef stew meat
- 3 Tbsp. hot oil
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
- 2 c. apple cider
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- quartered potatoes
- carrots
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1 celery branch, sliced
Directions

1In a large saucepan, brown the beef stew meat in the hot oil. Combine the flour, salt, pepper and dried thyme crushed into meat. Stir in the apple cider, water and vinegar.

2Cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil.

3Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.

4Add the potatoes, carrots, onion and celery.

5Cook until vegetables are tender, about 30 minutes.

6Use a heavy Dutch pan.
