- 1 c. rolled oats
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. firm packed brown sugar
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix oats and water; let stand until cool.

2Stir together next 4 ingredients.

3In large bowl stir margarine, sugars until blended. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.

4Add flour and mix thoroughly. Stir in oatmeal.

5Turn into ungreased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

6Bake 350° for 45 minutes.

7Spread with quick topping while cake is warm.
