Cinnamon Apples

  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. cinnamon hearts or 3 Tbsp. red cinnamon drops can be used
  • 2 c. water
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 6 apples, pared, cored and sliced

Directions

    Boil sugar, cinnamon hearts and water until hearts dissolve. Stir occasionally.

    Put cloves in some slices of apples and add to syrup.

    Cook slowly until apples are tender, about 5 minutes.
