- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sour milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in large bowl; set aside.

3Cream shortening.

4Gradually add 1 cup sugar.

5Add eggs.

6Beat until light and fluffy.

7Add flour mixture alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition.

8Add vanilla and mix until well blended.

9Combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; mix well.

10Spoon half of batter into lightly greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.

11Sprinkle with half of sugar and cinnamon mixture.

12Add remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture.

13Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until done.
