Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Bring 2 cups brown sugar, water and 2 tablespoons butter to a full boil; let cool.

    Beat remaining ingredients, except pecans, until well blended.

    Place in 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Sprinkle nut meats over dough.

    Then pour 1st mixture over dough.

    Bake at 325° until dough rises to top and comes out clean when pierced with toothpick.

    Cool before serving.

    Top with Cool Whip, if desired.
