Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. warm water
  • 2 Tbsp. yeast
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. margarine, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 c. unbleached flour
  • 3 c. whole wheat flour

Directions

    Mix ingredients well, except the wheat flour.

    Add whole wheat flour.

    Knead by hand or dough hooks until dough handles easily. Let rise until double.

    Divide into 4 parts.

    Roll each section out.

    Spread with margarine, sprinkle with brown sugar, raisins, cinnamon and nuts.

    Roll into log shape, slice approximately 1 1/2 inches.

    Place in baking pan.

    Let rise until double.

    Bake 25 minutes at 375°.

    Frost when cooled (powdered sugar and lemon juice).
