- 2 c. milk, scalded
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- butter
- 6 c. flour
- 1/2 c. shortening (preferably lard)
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 cake yeast
- cinnamon
- 1/4 c. warm water
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Scald milk; cool.

3Add shortening, sugar, salt and eggs (well beaten).

4Add flour.

5Mix as for bread, but not as stiff, adding more flour as needed.

6Let rise twice until twice the size.

7Roll out, spread butter and cinnamon.

8Roll up and slice, about 1 to 1 1/2-inch slices.

9Bake in a pan at 350° for 25 minutes or until brown on top.
