- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm milk, scalded and cooled
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. shortening, softened
- 1 egg
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl.

2Stir in milk, sugar, shortening, salt, egg and 2 cups flour; beat until smooth. Mix in enough flour to make dough easy to handle.

3Knead until smooth; put in greased bowl.

4Turn greased side up, cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours.

5Punch dough down; roll into a rectangle.

6Spread with margarine and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

7Roll up like a jelly roll; cut into slices.

8Let rise 40 minutes.

9Bake in a 375° oven for 25 minutes.
