  • 2 lb. veal or pork, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2/3 c. fine cracker crumbs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 3/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube

Directions

    Thread veal or pork cubes onto short skewers.

    Combine crumbs and seasonings.

    Combine egg and milk.

    Dip meat in egg mixture, then in crumbs.

    Brown slowly on all sides in hot shortening. Dissolve bouillon cube in 1/2 cup boiling water.

    Add to meat, cover and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

    Uncover and bake 30 minutes.
