  • milk
  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. bread crumbs or crushed croutons

    Melt butter in medium saucepan; stir in flour.

    Cook until bubbly, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat and cool.

    Beat in egg and clams.
