  • 1 cake yeast
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. sugar (or less)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 3 1/2 c. flour

Directions

    Mix together and knead 6 to 8 minutes.

    Let rise until double in size.

    Punch down and make into rolls.

    Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes or until brown.
