- 1 c. chopped clams
- 4 medium potatoes, cooked, peeled and diced
- 6 slices chopped onion
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 lb. bacon
- 1 c. half and half
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 qt. milk
- salt
- pepper
- thyme
Directions

1Have potatoes cooled and put aside.

2Saute bacon until crisp; set aside.

3Add onion to pan and saute until soft, not brown. Stir in flour into pan and blend well.

4Stir in clams and the liquid.

5Heat mixture, then put into a large pot.

6Stir in potatoes.

7Stir constantly.

8Bring to a boil.

9Add in bacon bits. Reduce heat to low.
