Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onions
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of garlic powder
  • dash of salt
  • 1 (7 oz.) can minced clams
  • 12 slices bread (remove crust and flatten)

Directions

    Saute onions in butter for 2 to 3 minutes; remove from heat. Blend in flour, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder, then stir in the clams and clam liquid.

    Cook over low heat until it thickens, about 1 minute.

    Cool and spread mixture on bread and roll up.

    At this point, they can be frozen on cookie sheets and stored in freezer paper or plastic bags.

    When ready to use, roll in melted butter and place on cookie sheets.

    Bake in a 425° oven until toasted.
