Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 (6 1/2 oz.) minced clams
  • juice from 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar

Directions

    Melt butter and fry onions until transparent.

    Add juice from 1 can of clams and lemon juice.

    Simmer for a few minutes.

    Mix in all other ingredients except cheese.

    Grease pan or pie plate. Add mixture.

    Top with grated cheese.

    Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.

    Serve with crackers or pumpernickel bread.
