- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 2 (6 1/2 oz.) minced clams
- juice from 1 lemon
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. parsley
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar
Directions

1Melt butter and fry onions until transparent.

2Add juice from 1 can of clams and lemon juice.

3Simmer for a few minutes.

4Mix in all other ingredients except cheese.

5Grease pan or pie plate. Add mixture.

6Top with grated cheese.

7Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.

8Serve with crackers or pumpernickel bread.
