  • 1 pt. Clams or Quahogs
  • 1-3/4 c. Sifted Flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. Milk
  • 2 tsp. grated Onion
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter

Directions

    Drain Clams and chop.

    Sift all dry ingredients together. Combine Eggs, Milk, Onion, Butter and Clams, pour into dry ingredients.

    Stir until smooth.

    Drop batter by teaspoonfuls into hot fat (350 degrees).

    Fry about three minutes or until golden brown.

    Drain.
