- 1 pt. Clams or Quahogs
- 1-3/4 c. Sifted Flour
- 1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- 1 c. Milk
- 2 tsp. grated Onion
- 1 Tbsp. Butter
Directions

1Drain Clams and chop.

2Sift all dry ingredients together. Combine Eggs, Milk, Onion, Butter and Clams, pour into dry ingredients.

3Stir until smooth.

4Drop batter by teaspoonfuls into hot fat (350 degrees).

5Fry about three minutes or until golden brown.

6Drain.

7Serves 6.
