Classic Pecan Pie

- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 c. light or dark corn syrup
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. pecan halves
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Directions

1In large bowl, stir eggs, corn syrup, sugar, margarine and vanilla until well blended.

2Stir in pecans.

3Pour into pastry shell.

4Bake in a 350° oven for 50 to 55 minutes, or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.

5Cool on wire rack.

6If desired, serve with whipped cream.
