Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp basil, chopped
  • 3 thick slices whole wheat bread
  • 1 tbsp redcurrant jelly
  • 1 slice turkey breast
  • 1 slice swiss cheese
  • 1.5 oz alfalfa sprouts
  • 1 leaf romaine or butter lettuce
  • 1 slice ham
  • 1 None small tomato, sliced

Directions

    In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and basil. Set aside.

    Spread 1 slice of bread with the redcurrant jelly and top with turkey, cheese and alfalfa sprouts. Place another slice of bread on top.

    Spread the second slice of bread with the mayonnaise mixture, then top with the lettuce leaf, ham and tomato. Finish with the last piece of bread.

    Cut the sandwich into 3 pieces and serve immediately, or wrap individually in plastic wrap and store in refrigerator.
