- 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels (about 50)
- 5 Tbsp. evaporated milk
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. margarine, melted
- 5 Tbsp. evaporated milk
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt in a double boiler:

2caramels and 5 tablespoons evaporated milk.

3Mix cake mix with melted margarine, 5 tablespoons evaporated milk and nuts.

4Spread half of the mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

5Bake 6 minutes at 350°.

6Remove from oven and spread with 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips.

7Spread melted caramels over chocolate.

8Dot with remaining cake batter. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 350°.
