Cocoa Walnut Fudge

Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/3 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- pinch of salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Blend sugar, cocoa and cream of tartar.

2Slowly stir in milk until sugar is dissolved.

3Do not stir the mixture after it begins to boil.

4Cover for the first 5 minutes of boiling, then uncover and boil until soft ball stage.

5Remove from heat.

6Drop in butter, but do not stir.

7When fudge has cooled down some, add vanilla and nuts.

8Beat until creamy.

9Pour into a 9 x 9-inch dish.
