Coconut Bar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) margarine, softened
  • 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 c. shredded coconut
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

Directions

    Line a 13 x 9-inch pan with aluminum foil.

    Lightly grease. Combine butter, sugar and egg in food processor.

    Whirl until creamy.

    Add flour and 1 cup of walnuts.

    Pulse just until combined and still in clumps.

    Press in even layer with floured fingers into pan.

    Bake in 375° oven for 15 minutes, or until edges are golden. Cool in pan on rack.

    Sprinkle chocolate chips, coconut and remaining walnuts on top.

    Pour on milk.

    Bake at 375° for 20 minutes or until golden brown; cool in pan.
