- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 1/4 c. unsifted flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut
Directions

1Cream together the margarine and 1/2 cup brown sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add 1 cup flour; mix well.

3In a 9 x 13-inch pan, bake at 375° for 12 minutes.

4In another bowl, mix together the remaining 1 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup flour.

5Blend eggs, vanilla and salt.

6Fold in pecans and coconut.

7Spread mixture evenly over baked layer.

8Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.

9Cool; cut into bars.
