  • baked 9-inch pie shell
  • 2 c. milk, scalded
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
  • 1 c. shredded coconut

Directions

    Cook milk until scalded.

    Mix flour and sugar; add to hot milk until thickened.

    Beat egg yolks and add to custard.

    Add salt, vanilla, butter or oleo and coconut.

    Pour in shell and cool.

    When serving, top with Cool Whip.
