- 1 c. sugar
- 5 Tbsp. flour
- 3 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked
- 2 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. coconut
Directions

1Blend together sugar and flour.

2Combine egg yolks and milk. Pour two mixtures together in medium saucepan.

3Cook slowly and stir constantly over low heat until mixture becomes thick.

4Add butter, flavoring and coconut into mixture and stir until blended. Pour into pie shell.

5May top with meringue made of 2 or 3 egg whites, 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

6Beat until stiff.

7Garnish with shredded coconut.

8Bake until golden brown at 350°

9(15 minutes).
