  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 can Angel Flake coconut

    Cream Crisco and oleo.

    Add sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour and cream of tartar and add to cake.

    Add flavoring and coconut.

    Stir with a spoon.

    Cook in oven (begin in cold oven) for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325°.
