- 1 c. Crisco
- 2 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. coconut extract
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 can (3 1/2 oz.) Angel Flake coconut
Directions

1Cream sugar and Crisco.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating 1 minute after each.

3Add extract.

4Add dry ingredients and milk alternately to the egg and sugar mixture.

5Stir in coconut.

6Bake in Bundt-tube pan (oil and flour the bottom).

7Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until done.

8Remove from oven.

9Prepare syrup and pour over cake while it is still hot. (Poke holes in top with fork before pouring syrup over top.)
