Coconut Rum Balls

  • 4 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1 1/3 c. flaked coconut (approximate)
  • 1 c. finely chopped nuts
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened milk
  • 1/2 c. rum or use 1/2 c. water and 1 tsp. rum extract
  • confectioners sugar

Directions

    Combine crumbs, coconut and nuts in a bowl.

    Stir in condensed milk and rum, mixing well.
  3. 3
    Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in confectioners sugar to coat.

    Cover and store in refrigerator. Roll again in sugar just before serving.

    Makes 6 dozen candies.
