- 3/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. flaked coconut
- 1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
Directions

1Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.

2Combine flour and baking powder and add to creamed mixture.

3Stir in coconut, chocolate chips and shortening.

4Refrigerate for 1 hour. Roll out 1/4-inch thick.

5Cut with 2 1/2-inch cookie cutter.

6Cook 2-inches apart.
