- 2 c. evaporated milk
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. (very strong) coffee
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Add milk to coffee.

2Boil sugar, syrup and salt to firm ball stage (245°).

3Add coffee mixture and butter very slowly, as boiling must not stop.

4Cook and stir constantly to 242°.

5Add vanilla.

6Pour 3/4-inch deep in buttered pans.

7Cool; mark in squares.
-
8Chill until very firm.
-
9Remove from pan and cut into squares.

10Wrap in waxed paper.
