Cold Oven Pound Cake

  • 1/2 lb. butter/margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco (use only Crisco)
  • 6 eggs
  • 8 oz. Carnation milk
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. lemon
  • 1 tsp. each: sherry and rum

Directions

    Mix well the butter/margarine and Crisco.

    Add eggs, 2 at a time.

    Add Carnation milk, 1/3 at a time.

    Add flour, vanilla, lemon, sherry and rum.

    Place in a tube pan.

    Place in cold oven and put on 350°.

    Cook 1 1/2 hours or until golden brown.
