- 2 14 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
- 2 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 34 cup unsalted butter (1 1/2 sticks) or 34 cup margarine, at room temperature (1 1/2 sticks)
- 1 (16 ounce) box light-brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
- 14 cup coarsely chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)
- 12 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
- 1 12-3 teaspoons milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Lightly grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

3Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt onto a sheet of waxed paper.

4Beat together butter and brown sugar in a large bowl until well blended.

5Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

6On low speed, gradually beat in the flour mixture until blended.

7Beat in the vanilla.

8Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.

9Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.

10Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

11Meanwhile, prepare the Glaze: Whisk together confectioners' sugar and enough milk in a small bowl until smooth and good drizzling consistency.

12Cover; set aside.

13When cookie is COMPLETELY cooled, drizzle with glaze.

14Let stand until glaze hardens.

15Cut into bars.
