- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. margarine
- 1 box brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 c. nut meats, if desired (walnuts)
Directions

1Mix flour, baking powder and salt together; set aside.

2In large saucepan melt margarine and add brown sugar.

3Cool slightly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

4Add dry ingredients, chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.

5Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

6Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

7Cut when cool into squares.
