- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 1 c. walnuts
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 3 eggs
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
Directions

1Mix all of the ingredients with hands.

2Spread in ungreased pan (9 1/2 x 13-inch) and bake for 1/2 hour or until edges are brown.

3Cool 10 minutes before cutting into bars.

4Makes 12 good sized bars.
