- 2 3/4 cups sifted flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 cups melted shortening
- 2 1/4 cups brown sugar (1 lb package)
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 8oz pkg. chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt shortening. add brown sugar.

2Stir until mixed.

3Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

4Pour into greased pan.

5Check after 15 minutes.

6Do not overbake. 350 degrees. 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 baking dish.
