- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. shortening or 1 1/2 sticks soft margarine or butter
- 1 box brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder and salt together onto wax paper. Cream the shortening and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Add dry ingredients, then add nuts and chips.

4Pour into greased large cookie sheet.

5Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
