- 1 small cabbage head or 1/2 large cabbage head
- 1 tsp. finely diced hot red pepper
- small piece of pork or olive oil
Directions

1Remove outer leaves and core from the cabbage.

2Cut in chunks.

3Put cabbage in just enough boiling water to keep from scorching.

4Add red pepper or olive oil.

5Salt to taste.

6(If cabbages are not sweet, you may wish to add a bit of sugar.) Do not overcook cabbage.

7Serve with cornbread.
