  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. cooking oil
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sour milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Directions

    Bring margarine, cocoa, oil and water to a boil and then add sugar, salt and flour.

    Beat well.

    Dissolve soda in sour milk and add to the mixture, along with eggs and vanilla.

    Beat well and pour in greased 12 x 18 x 1-inch pan.

    Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.

    Makes good bars.

    Nuts may be added.

    Frost with chocolate icing.
