  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. regular flour
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. 1
    Bring butter, Crisco, cocoa and water to boil in 2-quart pan. In large bowl combine sugar and regular flour.

    Pour hot mixture over flour and beat well.

    Add beaten eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla.
