- 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 c. flour
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/4 c. margarine, softened or 2 Tbsp. oil
- 2 1/4 c. hot water
- nonstick cooking spray (Pam)
Directions

1Combine 2 cups flour, undissolved yeast, sugar and salt in large mixing bowl; blend well.

2Add hot water.

3Add margarine or oil.

4Beat with electric mixer at medium speed 2 minutes.

5Add 1 cup of flour.

6Beat at high speed for 1 minute or until thick and elastic.

7Gradually stir in enough of the remaining flour with a wooden spoon to make a soft dough which leaves the side of the bowl.

8Turn dough onto a floured board and knead for 5 to 10 minutes or until dough is smooth and elastic.

9Cover with Saran Wrap, then a towel.

10Let rest for 20 minutes.
