- 1 1/2 c. Martha White self-rising corn meal
- 1/2 c. Martha White all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease bottom of an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan.

3Combine ingredients in mixing bowl; stir until smooth.

4Set aside for 20 minutes; stir lightly.

5Pour batter into prepared pan.

6Bake for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

7Cool in pan 10 minutes.

8Turn out onto wire rack until ready to serve.

9Makes 8 to 10 servings.
